NB A very clubby CD but also with some nice slowies – like this one. The Doc’s knows a Body pump instructor who plays one of the popular club tracks from this CD called Miracle.

SherelleCarySmith – Do What You Love. Be sure to check her out at: www.sherellecarysmith.com and www.myspace.com/sherellecarysmith  This track appears on her CD ‘Do what you love’ available from CD baby where the album has some great reviews.

Blue Soul Groove – featuring guitarist Neil Warden, with the help of a few guest musicians. Based in Edinburgh, Neil is best known for his work over many years with Scottish blues singer Tam White. It is great that his awesome sound is now heard all across the Internet and this has catapulted him on to lots of radio playlists alongside personal heroes including George Benson, David Sanborn and Hubert Laws.

This week’s Featured Artist is The Brand New Heavies (BNH) –
The BNH’s are Simon Bartholomew, Jan Kincaid and Andrew Levy. And since October 2005 N’Dea Davenport has been back with the group! Find out more at: www.thebrandnewheavies.net

NB This latter track is a cover version of the David Nichtern song made very popular by singer, Maria Muldaur in 1974

We Thank Mz Dimplez for her Desert Island Groove – A great classic from Billy Paul (www.myspace.com/billypaulmusic)  This great soul classic was originally released in 1972 and is on the album ‘360 Degrees of Billy Paul’ and was written by Kenny Gamble, Leon Huff and Cary Gilbert. Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff (songwriters and producers) have between them clocked up over 170 gold and platinum records and pioneered the Philadelphia soul sound! Wow!

Crown Heights Affair – From Brooklyn, New York, a band formed in the early 70s comes a Jazz-Funk Classic from their 1976 Album – Do it your Way. You might remember tracks like Galaxy of Love and Use your Body & Soul, both big hits.

Paprika Soul – devised by Andy Spiller and Alan Barnes . Andy Spiller has worked with the Lighthouse Family, Mark Morrison,Dina Carrol and others. We also noticed the name of the bass player PHIL MULFORD, who we met at a gig in Feb 2007, and he gave us a superb Desert Island Groove in Season 2 Episode11.
